Independence Day is a day of great glory and celebration to all the Indians.
SKCH PU College celebrates the Independence Day of India every year with a sense of pride on 15 th August at the college premises by commemorating the country’s great souls who laid down their lives during our freedom movement. This year’s 78th Independence Day was celebrated with much joy and zeal in our college on 15 th August at 8.30 am. Mr. Raviraja Bhat, Principal hoisted the National flag by honouring 77 years of treasured freedom and also by ushering a new era of sovereignty. After the flag hoisting ceremony, the staff members and student volunteers gathered at the college basement to absorb the further session. For the next one hour, the basement resonated with the patriotic songs and dance as a mark of tribute, remembering our unsung heroes. A speech on India’s rich prosperity and our responsibility towards developing National consciousness engrossed the attention of the gathering. During this occasion, a photo of Veer Savarkar was displayed by using Rubik Cube by our student, also the soulful rendition of our National song Vande Mataram by the choir, filled the air with the sense of patriotism. The program strived to achieve the core values and collective approach towards nation building.
